Private Guiding For absolute flexibility on where to go and what to do and to get the most out of your trip on the dates of your choice, private guiding is the way to go. You can get ideas from the courses we offer and talk through with us what you want to do on your trip. We will offer you the best climbing available based on the weather forecast and conditions at the time and your previous experience and aspirations. One guide and four people is good for instructional courses and easier peaks including many 4000m peaks and high level glacier treks such the Summer Haute Route. For guiding on harder climbs and major peaks (such as Mont Blanc) one guide with two people is best and certain objectives (such as the Matterhorn and Lyskam) are restricted to 1:1 guiding. The prices below cover just the guiding fees and are calculated at £250 per day for the first person plus £20 per day for additional people. The table gives prices up to 6 days but there is no restriction on the length of a course. The prices are for the group, divide these by the number in the group for the price per person. In addition you will need to pay all your own expenses including accommodation in the valley and in Alpine Huts, meals and cable car costs, plus those of your guide. If you have a particularly serious objective in mind such as the Walker Spur, Eiger North Face or Les Droites North Face, a peak fee will also be payable on successful completion of the route.
