Private Guiding

For absolute flexibility on where to go and what to do and to get the most out of your trip on the dates of your choice, private guiding is the way to go. You can get ideas from the courses we offer and talk through with us what you want to do on your trip. We will offer you the best options available based on the weather forecast and conditions at the time and your previous experience and aspirations.

One guide can take one or two people icefall climbing but to get the most out of an instructional course (learning to ice climb or learning to lead ice climbs) two people with one guide is best. Ski touring is best with a group of up to four people with one guide but it is possible to take up to six on some tours and on an Introduction to Ski Touring course.

The prices below cover just the guiding fees and are calculated at £250 per day for the first person plus £20 per day for additional people. The table gives prices up to 6 days but there is no restriction on the length of a course. The prices are for the group, divide these by the number in the group for the price per person. In addition you will need to pay all your own expenses including accommodation in the valley and in Alpine Huts, meals and cable car costs, plus those of your guide.
