Coire Leis
Surrounded by the slopes of Carn Mor Dearg and the cliffs of the North Face of Ben Nevis, Coire Leis is a scenic and dramatic route up Ben Nevis and avoids the ridge scrambling along CMD Arete - perfect for those want a more challenging route to the summit but are not keen on any exposure.
Our guided walk begins by following the path up to the CIC Hut which sits at the foot of the North Face, and from this point the route becomes much rougher. Continuing up the side of the stream we climb up into the back of Coire Leis at which point the path steepens for the final push up to the bealach at the end of CMD Arete. All that is left is the short steep ascent up the boulder field to bring us to the highest point in the UK. Our descent follows the top half of the Mountain Track then cuts across country to rejoin our original path back to the car park. Private guiding is available on any day of the week, at any time of year. Contact us to check our availability and make a booking. |
