Winter Walking

There is nothing quite like exploring Scotland's mountains while they are under their winter blanket. If you are new to the winter environment or would like to brush up on your skills then a Winter Skills Course will teach you the basics required to stay safe at this time of year. Our experienced Winter Mountain Leaders are also here to guide you on some of the finest mountains Scotland has to offer. Let us know if you have a particular peak in mind or you would just like to get out and experience Scotland at it's best!

An introductory winter skills course will teach you the basic skills you need to start heading out in the winter mountains on your own. One day and multi day skills courses available.

These workshops, run in association with the Fort William Mountain Festival, are the perfect opportunity to get out with like-minded people and learn vital winter skills.

​​Whether you are into Munro bagging or just like to explore some of the finest peaks Scotland has to offer, Fort William is the perfect base for getting out and about.

Navigation on Ben Nevis can be incredibly tricky in winter conditions. We will help you to safely reach the summit and teach you how to use your crampons and ice axe correctly.
