Ledge Route
As one of the easier routes up the North Face of Ben Nevis, Ledge Route is a fantastic introduction to the world of mountaineering in Scotland.
Our day begins at the North Face car park where we begin the walk up to the CIC Hut. From here we climb up through the boulders towards Number 5 Gully then break out to gain the crest of the ridge. The scrambling on Ledge Route is never too technical and your guide can take easier or harder lines depending on what you would like to do. After climbing Ledge Route and reaching the summit of Ben Nevis most people choose to descend by the Mountain Track, but if time and energy allows we can go for a traverse of CMD Arete to make for a truly memorable day out in the Scottish mountains. |

If you are keen to have a go at your first ridge scramble or North Face route, or learn the skills so you can start to 'go it alone' then Ledge Route is the perfect choice.
Ledge Route is available with a private guide on any day of the week so get in touch to check our availability and make a booking.
