Guided Winter Walking
Winter is an incredible time of year to get out and enjoy the Scottish mountains. Whether you are into Munro bagging or just like to explore some of the finest peaks Scotland has to offer, Fort William is the perfect base for getting out and about. The Mamores and Glen Coe are right on our doorstep, and slightly further afield are Glen Etive, Creag Meagaidh and Glen Shiel. The possibilities for guided winter hill walking are endless!
If you have certain peaks in mind or just want to get out and explore, your guide will help you to decide on the right objective for the given weather and snow conditions. With a guide you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and learn more about the winter environment, including how to make good decisions in relation to avalanche risk. If you are new to winter hill walking a day of Winter Skills would teach you the basics you need to know to start venturing higher into the mountains. We can run private winter hill walking and Munro bagging on any day of the week so get in touch to check our availability and make a booking. |
