Skiing
Back country skiing in Scotland is growing in popularity. There’s a dedicated group of skiers who venture away from the piste to find wild turns well away from anyone else. The ski areas provide easy access to some brilliant lines that feel a world away from the piste. There’s also endless opportunity for those prepared to invest a few hours walking in to the snow, skinning up into a coire and booting up a gully in order to savour a few sweet turns on the way back down. You definitely earn your turns in Scotland! This winter you can learn the rope skills to safely check that your intended line is good to go on our Ropework for Skiers course, or let us find the best lines on our Scottish Steep Skiing course.
Leave the groomed pistes of the ski resort and start exploring the winter mountains on skis. This introductory level ski touring course will teach you all the basic skills you need to know to get started.
